Stat line: 7 tackles, 1 sack, 3 pass breakups

There aren’t may players playing better than Adrian Amos right now.

Amos has been the do-everything guy for Mike Pettine and the Packers defense for the past few weeks and is rewarding the team for his expanded role.

I couldn’t help but notice Amos on just about every play made by the defense. He was all over the field helping in the run game, pass defense and added a sack for good measure.

Amos has quietly put together the kind of season the Packers envisioned when they signed him to a big-money deal last offseason.

Amos’ strength was thought to be in run defense but the way he laid out for two of his pass breakups showed he has much more to offer. Amos’ effort has never waved and he has given all he can each and every time he steps on the field.

He hasn’t made the game-changing type of plays; Amos has only one interception after 15 weeks. But he has been as solid as any player the Packers have and is increasing his importance with each week.

If the past few weeks are any indication, I think we are going to see those game-changing plays in the next few weeks to come.
