Packers: Three winners from Week 16 victory over Titans
By Cody Young
The Packers once again took care of business as they have done so many times this season.
The Green Bay Packers took on the Tennessee Titans in a Week 16 matchup, pitting two playoff teams against one another. The Packers have already clinched the NFC North but still have their sights set on the coveted one-seed, which would allow not only a home-field advantage but also a first-round bye.
As fun as they are to watch, Green Bay is not without its fair share of flaws, one of them being the run-defense. Coming into this game, the rush defense was getting a true test with arguably the best RB in the NFL coming to town in Derrick Henry.
Surprisingly, the defense played great while the offense has done what it’s done all season, and that is score a lot of points. Green Bay was the number three scoring team in the entire NFL coming into this game and hanging another 40 points moved them into first place.
Aaron Rodgers continued his MVP-caliber campaign, while Davante Adams continued to show why he should be in consideration of being the league’s best wideout. Overall, I thought this was a big win for a Packers team that had a little more doubt than they deserved coming into the game.
Green Bay dominated from the opening whistle and even when the Titans did make it close again at 19-14, there was still very little doubt that the Packers were going to come away with a win on Sunday.
