Five players key to victory for Packers in Week 17.

The next chapter in the NFL’s oldest rivalry promises to be a good one. It’s Week 17 and a lot is on the line for both teams.

For the Chicago Bears, they win the game and they’re in the playoffs. A loss and they are likely done and can start on preparations for 2021. Despite a six-game losing streak earlier in the season, Chicago has a chance to earn the number seven seed and a wild-card berth. Just a few short weeks ago no one would have even thought that was possible.

Chicago’s offense was in turmoil switching back and forth between quarterbacks, with erratic to inconsistent play at best coming from both.

Ironically, it was the game against the Green Bay Packers a little over a month ago that turned things around. The Packers won big, 41-25, but a few late-game scores got the Bears offense heading in the right direction and they have been on a roll since.

They put up 30 points in a losing effort against the Detroit Lions then rattled off three straight wins to put themselves in this position.

Mitchell Trubisky has led the Bears to at least 30 points in four straight games and seems to be a different quarterback since his benching.

For Green Bay, they are already in the playoffs but they have bigger aspirations. With a win they are the number one seed and all paths to the Super Bowl in the NFC run through Lambeau Field.

A loss won’t be as devastating for the Packers. Depending on the outcomes of the Seattle Seahawks and New Orleans Saints games, Green Bay could still be the number one seed or fall all the way down to the third.

These longtime rivals would love nothing more than to ruin the other team’s hopes.

Here are five players I feel will help Green Bay secure the number one seed and an all-important bye.
