Ahead of the Packers’ season finale, here are three bold predictions.

Just like that, the regular season reaches its final week. For the first time in almost a decade, the Green Bay Packers can earn the NFC’s number one seed and secure home-field advantage throughout the postseason.

To do that, they will need to defeat the Chicago Bears on Sunday afternoon or hope the Seattle Seahawks lose to the San Francisco 49ers. The best way for Green Bay will be to take care of business in its own game and not rely on another result helping it out.

Back in Week 12, the Packers handed the Bears their fifth straight defeat in what ended up being a six-game losing run. However, the Bears have bounced back since with three straight wins and pulled themselves back into playoff contention. A win for the Bears will do just fine, enough to secure a wild-card berth.

Add in the fact this is a divisional game on the road, and the Packers have a tough task ahead of them at Soldier Field. But the reward of winning this game is obvious, so expect Matt LaFleur to have his team ready as he always does.

Packers. Bears. Soldier Field. Week 17. It brings back some good memories. Let’s hope for more on Sunday.

First, here are my bold predictions.
