The Packers locked up the number one seed for the NFC playoffs. Here are predictions for each game leading up to the Super Bowl in the NFC.

The Green Bay Packers did it. A year after being “the worst 13-3” team ever and bound for a big regression, they have clinched the top seed in the playoffs in the NFC. Starting this year, seven teams will make the playoffs instead of six. Because of that, only one team would receive a first-round bye, the top seed.

The NFC North champs earned that first-round bye after finishing the season with a 13-3 record, best in the NFC. They will also have home-field advantage throughout the playoffs leading up to the Super Bowl. The road to Super Bowl 55 goes through Lambeau Field. Normally, this would be a bigger deal, but since there aren’t any fans, a lot of people want to diminish how important this is. I think that’s true if you aren’t the Packers.

Green Bay absolutely has an advantage playing at Lambeau Field in January. Whether there are fans or not, teams will need to come to Green Bay if they want to go to the Super Bowl, and that’s not easy to do. This year, the Packers went 7-1 at home. This will be just the second time the Packers have earned home-field advantage with Aaron Rodgers and the first since 2011. I have a good feeling about Green Bay’s chances this year.

So let’s take a look at how the NFC side of the playoffs could go. Here are the seeds for the 2020 NFC playoffs before we get going.

1. Packers
2. Saints
3. Seahawks
4. Washington Football Team
5. Buccaneers
6. Rams
7. Bears
