Three ways Packers can make a Super Bowl run.

Task number one was to win the NFC North. Check. Task number one two was to clinch the number one seed. Check. Task number three for the Green Bay Packers is to win the Lombardi Trophy.

With home-field advantage and the NFC running through Lambeau Field for the first time in nearly a decade, they have a great opportunity to go all the way in Matt LaFleur’s second season as head coach.

With the league’s top-ranked scoring offense, and ascending defense, and riding a six-game winning streak into the playoffs, the Packers are the hottest team in the NFL. But that won’t count for anything if they don’t continue this into the postseason and suffer an early exit.

This Packers team is up there with the best in the Aaron Rodgers era. They have a real chance to win a Super Bowl. At their best, there’s no team they can’t beat. But the Packers will have to avoid playing below their best in every game.

Today, we look at three things they must do to convert the No. 1 seed and home-field advantage into Rodgers’ second Super Bowl triumph. And we’ll start, sadly, with the special teams. I know, I know.
