Packers vs. Rams: Full NFC divisional round schedule
The Packers meet the Rams and the Saints host the Bucs.
We’re set for a fascinating NFC divisional round. The Green Bay Packers now know their opponents and their path to the Super Bowl.
The Packers will kick off the divisional round weekend at home against the No. 6-seed Los Angeles Rams.
This will be followed on Sunday with a battle between Tom Brady and Drew Brees. There’s a lot of star power in this year’s final four in the NFC.
Here’s the schedule on the NFC side:
NFC divisional round schedule
Packers vs. Rams – Saturday, Jan. 16, 3:35 p.m. CT — FOX
Saints vs. Buccaneers – Sunday, Jan. 17, 5:40 p.m. CT — FOX
That’s two heavyweight battles and should be interesting to watch. A win for the Packers would see a rematch from the regular season in the NFC title game. Aaron Rodgers versus Brady in the playoffs? Or Brees?
Let’s not get ahead of ourselves. A tough challenge awaits the Packers at Lambeau on Saturday afternoon.
However, if they do get the win, they will have the clear advantage.
After already enjoying a bye week, they will then get an additional day of rest to prepare for the NFC Championship Game, which would be at Lambeau Field. On Sunday night, they’d enjoy watching the Saints and Bucs battle it out for a trip to a frozen Lambeau.
You can make a case for all four final NFC teams being serious Super Bowl contenders. The Packers, Saints, and Buccaneers all have future Hall-of-Famers at quarterback. The Rams have the best defense in the NFL.
All four teams have great coaches.
It’s going to be a fascinating weekend of football, and it all kicks off at Lambeau Field. How confident are you that Green Bay will get the victory and advance to the NFC title game against either New Orleans or Tampa Bay?
