Packers: Three winners from the NFC divisional round
By Cody Young
Kenny Clark was a force for the Packers this week
Winner #2: Kenny Clark
Kenny Clark has been the man in the middle for Green Bay’s defense since he was drafted in the first round back in 2016. He’s the type of player who has gotten a little better each season and has really put himself on the map over the last couple of years.
Clark played what was possibly his best game of the season against Los Angeles. The fifth-year defensive tackle was credited for 1.5 sacks, 1.5 tackles for loss, and two more QB hits, per ESPN.
Clark got himself paid in a big way earlier in the year and games like this are why you pay the big man. Clark plays a position that requires much more than watching the box score to evaluate his game when he is on the field.
While he may only get a couple of sacks each year, when you take in how many double teams he faces each game, as well as what he offers in the run game, it’s easy to see why Green Bay has been so high on him over the years. Clark has been a stud on this defense for a long time and it’s nice to see him get some recognition for how vital he is to the defense.
