Kevin King missed the Green Bay Packers‘ first game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and now it’s possible he could also be out of the NFC Championship Game.

According to Olivia Reiner of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, King missed Friday’s practice due to a back issue.

That’s obviously not ideal only two days out from the NFC title game against the Buccaneers, but hopefully it’s nothing serious and something he will be able to play through.

If King isn’t able to play, Josh Jackson could be the next player up. Jackson played quite well when starting in place of King earlier in the season. The other option would be to give some snaps to Tramon Williams, who returned to the Packers earlier this week.

If King is out, Williams could be put immediately back into action in the most important game of the season.

The final injury report for this week hasn’t been released just yet, but it won’t be a surprise if King is listed as questionable with his status uncertain.

We’ll learn a lot more about the Packers and Buccaneers’ injuries later in the day, but Tampa Bay head coach Bruce Arians has already ruled out wide receiver Antonio Brown, according to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero.

That’s a big loss for the Buccaneers as Brown has been a good addition to their offense and has shown he still has a ton of talent. Brown has been dealing with a knee injury and didn’t practice on Wednesday or Thursday.

The Packers are close to full strength ahead of this game, which is good news, but King’s status will be one to watch. Hopefully his back injury isn’t anything to be concerned about and the Packers will have him available on Sunday versus the Buccaneers.

The full injury report will be released by both teams later today.
