As the sun begins to set on the 2020 Green Bay Packers season, there were a lot of highs to go with the lowest of lows, but that’s football, right?

Green Bay began the season coming off an NFC Championship Game loss and ended the season in another heartbreaking NFC Championship Game loss — this time at Lambeau Field.

As we enter one of the more unpredictable offseasons in terms of who’s leaving and who will be re-signed, let’s take a look back at the season as a whole.

While it may not have ended in a Super Bowl championship, Green Bay fans should acknowledge the excellent season we saw from several players.

From Aaron Rodgers’ MVP-like performance, 18 touchdown receptions by Davante Adams, Za’Darius Smith’s solid season, and another 13-3 record led by head coach Matt LaFleur, Green Bay’s 2020 season was a joy to watch and one that fans should remember for years to come.

Week 1 at Minnesota Vikings

There was a lot of offseason talk on how Green Bay would regress under LaFleur and how the Minnesota Vikings were going to be the team to beat in the NFC North. Turns out that neither of those takes would occur in 2020 and the beginning of Rodgers’ MVP campaign would start to form.

Week 1 of the NFL season would also mark the beginning of a Covid-19 season as fans would mostly be absent across the league. However, with fans or not, Rodgers would lead his team to back-to-back wins in Minnesota after throwing four touchdowns and 364 yards in a 43-34 season-opening win.

LaFleur’s success against the NFC North was a high-point in 2019 as any new head coach has a challenge against new divisional opponents. But after a clean sweep of the NFC North in 2019, winning an opening divisional game is always a step in the right direction.
