Round 2 (62): Landon Dickerson, C, Alabama

Talk about great value.

Landon Dickerson’s injury history could cause him to fall to the Packers in the second round, but he is such a talented player that this could be one of the steals of the entire draft.

Green Bay doesn’t need to find a direct replacement for Corey Linsley at center as there are other potential replacements already on the roster such as Elgton Jenkins and Lucas Patrick. But Alabama’s Landon Dickerson can play center or guard and wherever he lines up, he can become a starter for the Packers.

An unanimous All-American in 2020, Dickerson is one of the best interior offensive linemen in the entire class and could be an immediate starter for the Packers.

The biggest concern is that he is recovering from a torn ACL. If he’s unable to go in Week 1, Green Bay would potentially be without two starters with All-Pro David Bakhtiari also returning from a torn ACL. However, you don’t draft players for the first half of their rookie seasons. If Dickerson can stay healthy, he can become a Pro Bowl offensive lineman for the Packers.

In the second round, this could be a home-run selection for the Packers, just like Elgton Jenkins was when he was selected 44th overall in 2019.
