It’s been a long road to get here but we’re just a few short weeks away from the Green Bay Packers making their first pick of the 2021 NFL Draft. The draft is always a great time of the year for NFL fans. We get as hyped as possible to be let down or disappointed more often or not.

After what some considered to be a disastrous 2020 draft, Packers fans are anxiously waiting for this year’s draft. What makes this year intriguing is that there are quite a few different routes the Packers can go.

In 2019, it seemed pretty clear that they were going to go edge rusher with their first selection. In 2020, many thought they would select a wide receiver in the first round before they shocked the world and chose Jordan Love.

The Packers are certainly a good team, maybe even a great one but they are not without their faults on the roster. Despite having great years for the past two seasons, Green Bay once again failed to win the ultimate prize.

As long as Aaron Rodgers is on the team it should be Super Bowl or bust from here on out. Fans are desperate to see Rodgers get one more ring in Green Bay before the two parties eventually part ways. The Packers currently have 10 selections in the draft all together so they will have the opportunity to add quite a few new players.

Since Brian Gutekunst took over as GM in 2018, one of his trademarks has been “double-dipping” at positions in the draft. With all the picks at Green Bay’s disposal, I would expect more of the same this coming year.

So let’s go ahead and start this off. Every position you see listed here is a position that I believe is a need but some I feel are bigger needs than others, so let’s start with number five.
