Packers: Ranking biggest positions of need entering 2021 NFL Draft
By Cody Young
Packers have some questions among the offensive line right now
Need #3: Offensive tackle
Over the last couple of seasons, the Green Bay Packers have done a great job of building their O-line into one of the best in all of football. Many suspected the unit would take a step back with the departure of long-time OT Bryan Bulaga but they may have been even better in 2020.
I believe that Green Bay will still have a pretty good line in 2021 but they should be in the market of adding to it. Some may say the biggest question will be at the center position but I think the team won’t have an issue plugging someone in there.
At OT I think the Packers could run into some issues. We still don’t know if David Bakhtiari will be ready to go for week one due to his ACL injury in December. The team does have Billy Turner under contract for the next two seasons who is a nice player but shouldn’t stop them from upgrading.
They mainly need some depth at OT and this is looking to be a pretty deep class at the position. It’s highly possible Green Bay would consider using their first-round pick here but they may also look to stack at the position later in the draft.
Players to watch:
- Teven Jenkins
- Liam Eichenberg
- Sam Cosmi
- Spencer Brown
