Next Thursday night, will the Green Bay Packers strengthen the secondary or defensive line? Will they add more talent to the No. 1-ranked scoring offense?

Mock drafts try to predict the Packers’ pick, but if there’s anything we learned from last year’s draft, it’s that GM Brian Gutekunst is unpredictable.

In this week’s roundup, the consensus seems to be Green Bay focusing on offense in the first round.

NFL Mocks

Kadarius Toney, WR, Florida

Kadarius Toney is excellent after the catch, so it’s no surprise to see his name come up a lot at No. 29 in mock drafts, including this one by Evan Bachman of NFL Mocks. As Bachman writes, Toney’s “ability to force miss tackles after the catch is probably the best of anybody in the draft class”.

Will the Packers finally draft a receiver in the first round? If so, Toney would be a great choice.

FanSided

Liam Eichenberg, OT, Notre Dame

It also wouldn’t be surprising if the Packers used an early pick at offensive tackle. Rick Wagner was released this offseason and All-Pro David Bakhtiari is still recovering from a torn ACL.

Even when fully healthy and Bakhtiari and Billy Turner are starting, depth is a concern. FanSided’s Brad Weiss has Green Bay selecting Notre Dame’s Liam Eichenberg in the first round, who could compete for a starting job early on.

CBS Sports

Rashod Bateman, WR, Minnesota

According to Pro Football Focus, Rashod Bateman has 37 explosive plays since 2019, third-most behind Ja’Marr Chase and DeVonta Smith. Bateman would be an exciting addition to the Packers’ offense, so it’s no surprise to see him go to Green Bay in the latest CBS Sports mock draft by Ryan Wilson.

In his past 18 games at Minnesota, Bateman had 96 catches for 1,691 yards and 13 touchdowns, averaging almost 94 yards per game.

The Draft Network

Tevin Jenkins, OT, Oklahoma State

Wide receiver, tackle, wide receiver…

Tackle again. Benjamin Solak of The Draft Network has Oklahoma State’s Teven Jenkins going at No. 29 overall. One of the best offensive linemen in the class, this would be great news for the Packers who could’ve found their long-term answer at right tackle.
