Winners of 26 games in the regular season since 2019 and runners-up in the NFC in consecutive years, the Green Bay Packers enter an important draft this week.

The Packers have re-signed Aaron Jones, Kevin King, Marcedes Lewis, and a number of restricted and exclusive rights free agents this offseason, but they’re yet to bring in a free agent from another team. The salary cap has played a major part in that with every team affected with the cap going down from a year ago.

But the Packers enter this year’s draft in a good position. They enter with 10 selections, their seven original picks and three compensatory draft choices. Their first will be the 29th overall pick on Thursday night, unless they trade that pick away.

Will the Packers be aggressive at their biggest position of needs such as cornerback or inside linebacker? Will they add a wide receiver after failing to do so a year ago? Will they strengthen the defensive and offensive lines? It’s difficult to predict, and the 2020 draft shows it’s tough to ever truly know what they will do on draft day.

But with the countdown to this year’s draft almost over, it’s time to make three bold predictions for the Packers.
