Well, yesterday was… eventful. We could sit here all day conversing about the crazy situation involving Aaron Rodgers, but the show is still going on, and the Green Bay Packers have two draft picks to make tonight.

After choosing to stay put at pick 29 last night, selecting Georgia’s Eric Stokes, the Packers still have tons of capital to get up into the 30s or 40s tonight if they want to.

With a few questionable round one decisions such as Alex Leatherwood, Travis Etienne and Payton Turner, there’s still a ton of talent left on the board heading into the second round.

Many of them won’t be there for long though, so here are five talented prospects who the Packers could go up and grab in the opening few hours tonight.

5 – Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah, LB, Notre Dame

Owusu-Koramoah is the top remaining player on my board and I can’t believe he has slipped out of the first round. He may not be a perfect scheme fit for the Packers, and it’s rare for them to address the LB position at a premium pick.

However, JOK’s versatility makes him an excellent asset for any team, so why shouldn’t it be the Packers who move up for the Notre Dame star? I’d be extremely surprised if he falls outside of the first five picks of the second round, so Brian Gutekunst would have to get to work early.

4 – Christian Barmore, DT, Alabama

Leading up to the draft, many reports were saying that Barmore was likely to go earlier than we thought, maybe even in the high teens simply due to the lack of depth at the position in this class.

Barmore is the consensus #1 interior defensive lineman in the draft, and would give the Packers a big presence alongside Kenny Clark on the interior. Similar to JOK, Green Bay would have to get to work early in order to secure the Alabama prospect.

3 – Sam Cosmi, T, Texas

A popular pick for the Packers at 29, Cosmi would’ve been a solid, if unexciting selection at the back end of the first round. If Green Bay were to get him in the mid-second though, then things are a lot more interesting.

Brian Gutekunst held true to his Relative Athletic Score preferences last night with the selection of Eric Stokes. You’re not going to find a better athlete than Cosmi on the O-line. His 9.99 RAS score is the best in the class.

2 – Teven Jenkins, T, Oklahoma State

There are a number of factors that may have caused Jenkins to fall. For starters, he’s 24 years old, so in terms of development, you may not be getting elite upside. The fact that he played exclusively at right tackle in college doesn’t help either.

I’m a huge fan of what Jenkins could offer the Packers. So much so that I actually had him as a trade-up target in the first round yesterday! So you can be sure that I’ll vouch for getting Jenkins anywhere in the second round.

1 – Elijah Moore, WR, Ole Miss

This is the one we all want. It was to be seen as a gift if Moore made it to pick 29, with many mocks having him go as early as pick 22. Not only did Moore fall to 29, but he’s still on the board to begin the second round.

Daniel Jeremiah of NFL Network didn’t believe Moore would fall beyond the Packers in the first round. I think if one of these trades is going to happen, it’s this one. How far will the Packers need to move up the board? It’s impossible to know. But as long as Moore is still sitting there, be on the lookout for Gutekunst make a move up the board.

Next. Packers need to stand their ground in Rodgers situation. dark
