Amidst the amassed (and somewhat warranted) confusion surrounding Aaron Rodgers’ future with the Green Bay Packers, there now seems to be some clarification on whether or not Rodgers will remain in Green Bay through the 2021 season and beyond.

Speaking on “The Zach Gelb Show” for CBS Sports Radio, former Packers fullback John Kuhn said that he has spoken with Rodgers this week about the situation, citing that the three-time MVP and Super Bowl champion could still return to Green Bay. It’s just a matter of whether or not the organization will be able to get on the same page with him.

“Absolutely not,” Kuhn said when asked if Rodgers had ruled out a return to Green Bay. “I still believe there’s an opportunity at a resolution here. I just think it’s going to take two men that are dug in right now and trying to meet in the middle somewhere where they’re both happy.”

Along those same lines, former Packers linebacker A.J. Hawk had stated via “The Pat McAfee Show” that he believes there is a “zero percent chance” Aaron Rodgers retires. Now, while these statements being made are coming from very trustworthy and credible people, things still seem uncertain in regards to Rodgers’ future with the team. He’s been very quiet about everything going on, which could be a telling sign about where he stands on the situation.

The other reports being made, while also credible, still seem to be brought on by loosely reporting what very little information there has been since the bombshell dropped last Thursday night via ESPN’s Adam Schefter. It’s all going to depend on the organization and Rodgers themselves finding a common ground without tarnishing their legacies.

Rodgers has been the franchise cornerstone for the past decade plus and for the Packers to just throw that out the window just because he’s shown a bit of frustration (rightfully so), with the front office, is simply silly. Time will tell the story in the end and it looks as though, at least for now, that things might be heading in the right direction for him to return to Green Bay.
