Running backs (3)

Aaron Jones, AJ Dillon, Kylin Hill

Matt LaFleur loves depth at running back so it’s possible the Packers will keep a fourth back on the roster. But no player stands out as an obvious choice. For now, we roll with three running backs, and this group can be special in 2021.

We already know what Aaron Jones can do. Jones led the NFL in rushing touchdowns a couple of seasons ago and was named to his first Pro Bowl last year. After playing such a crucial role in LaFleur’s offense the past two years, he deservedly landed a new contract extension in Green Bay this offseason.

With Jamaal Williams departing, AJ Dillon looks set for a bigger role on offense. Dillon impressed in limited action last year and it’s exciting to think of the 1-2 punch we could see with Jones and Dillon. Their different styles could complement each other perfectly.

I’m excited to see seventh-round pick Kylin Hill. He only played in three games last year but impressed in 2019, his most recent full season. That year, he rushed for 1,350 yards and 10 touchdowns with an impressive average of 5.6 yards per carry. According to Pro Football Focus, in his 453 rushing attempts at college, Hill forced 116 missed tackles. He also offers some pass-catching ability.

With this trio, the Packers are deep at running back.
