Arguably the two most consistent teams in the NFL over the past decade, the Green Bay Packers and Seattle Seahawks battle again in 2021.

While not playing inside the same division, these two teams have had an excellent rivalry in recent years. What makes a great rivalry is two talented and evenly-matched teams. For the most part, that’s been the case with Green Bay and Seattle.

In the past decade, the Packers and Seahawks have met eight times, six times in the regular season and twice in the postseason. The series is tied at 4-4 in that time and 1-1 in the playoffs. In every game, the home team has held serve.

Last season

The Seahawks won their opening five games and final four in the regular season, but a wobble in the middle of the schedule hurt them. Seattle lost four of seven in the middle of the year, and it ultimately hurt its chances of securing the NFC’s top seed.

They did win the NFC West but were eliminated in the wild-card round by the division-rival Los Angeles Rams.

When is the game?

The Packers host the Seahawks in Week 10, with the game being played at Lambeau Field. The date is Sunday, Nov. 14 at 3:25 p.m. CT.

Offseason additions/departures

The Seahawks only had three picks in the draft, one of which they used to address the offensive line. The trouble is that they didn’t pick a tackle until Stone Forsythe in the sixth round. They did trade for guard Gabe Jackson, but questions remain for the Seahawks along the offensive line.

Having said that, Seattle added another talented wide receiver, D’Wayne Eskridge, in the second round, giving them a scary trio at the position.

Last meeting with Packers

January 12, 2020: Packers won 28-23 at Lambeau Field in the divisional round

Player to watch

DK Metcalf: Jaire Alexander will see a lot of star wide receiver Metcalf in this game. Metcalf had four catches for 59 yards the last time these two teams met, but he has improved a lot since then. He had 1,303 yards and 10 touchdowns and was a Pro Bowler last season. Metcalf vs. Alexander will be a matchup to watch in Week 10.
