Packers: Five players 25 and under who will shape future of team
By Dillon Graff
4. Defensive lineman – Kenny Clark – Age 25
Already on his second contract with the Packers, Kenny Clark has shown people across the league that he is a force to be reckoned with. Clark was named a Pro Bowler in 2019, and I would bet money it won’t be his last.
In 2019, Kenny Clark was among the best in the NFL at his position. In 2020, Clark battled injuries and was still very good, but had stretches where he wasn’t the difference maker we’ve come to expect. The Packers are going to need more of the 2019 version moving forward to take the next step on defense, because we all know what he’s capable of.
When healthy, Clark has been a disruptor in the trenches for Green Bay and one of the very best D-linemen in the league. Clark can play anywhere in the trenches and make an impact. Clark is another player that gives the front office options with whom they take in the draft. They know that they can select the best fit and Clark is able to move around to accommodate.
Clark may not realize his full potential until the team is able to help take some attention off of him by acquiring another difference maker. I think the best is yet to come for Kenny Clark, he will be a household name sooner rather than later.
