The Green Bay Packers finally added a wide receiver this offseason, drafting Amari Rodgers in the third round.

They also get back Devin Funchess, a 2020 free-agent signing who opted out last season. With Rodgers and Funchess now part of the offense, the Packers have better depth at the wide receiver position.

I have the Packers keeping five receivers this season as they did with their initial 53-man roster last year. But what will the depth chart look like?

Packers WR depth chart predictions in 2021

  1. Davante Adams
  2. Marquez Valdes-Scantling
  3. Amari Rodgers
  4. Allen Lazard
  5. Devin Funchess

There’s no surprise at the top. Davante Adams is one of the league’s best and will be the QB’s top target in 2021, even if it’s not Aaron Rodgers throwing the ball.

Marquez Valdes-Scantling had a good season in 2020, his best yet, and also made plays in the postseason. He deserves to be a starter.

Perhaps the biggest surprise on my depth chart is that rookie Amari Rodgers is third, ahead of Allen Lazard. But I absolutely love Rodgers’ game. He can add so much to the Packers’ offense and it will be hard for LaFleur to not get him on the field regularly. Rodgers should spend a lot of time in the slot but LaFleur can move him around.

Lazard will still have an important role to play. When healthy, he’s been a reliable target for Aaron Rodgers in the passing game. Funchess can also contribute on offense this season and he should be a good addition at receiver, especially in the red zone.

With Green Bay only keeping five wide receivers in this scenario, it means Equanimeous St. Brown misses out. St. Brown only made seven catches in the regular season last year and now faces more competition for snaps.

Which receivers do you think will make the Packers’ roster?
