9. Josiah Deguara, TE

Josiah Deguara started his debut against the Minnesota Vikings in last year’s opener, but a torn ACL ended his season early. In limited game action, LaFleur was using Deguara in many different roles.

Once he’s back to full strength, he can help this offense reach another level with his versatility and great blocking ability. Expect to see Deguara a lot this season when healthy. He’ll be a player to watch as he returns from a significant injury.

8. Elgton Jenkins, OL

Elgton Jenkins is one of the best young offensive linemen in the NFL, there is no doubt about that. With David Bakhtiari still recovering from a torn ACL, LaFleur needs to figure out where Jenkins is most needed to start the season.

Will he be Bakhtiari’s short-term replacement at left tackle? Is Jenkins’ future at right tackle? Or could he be asked to replace Corey Linsley at center?

We should begin to get clues of Jenkins’ role at training camp.

7. Ben Braden, G

When talking about competition at guard, we think of Jenkins, Lucas Patrick, Jon Runyan, and Billy Turner if he’s not playing at tackle. But a player to watch is former undrafted free agent Ben Braden. Packers offensive line coach Adam Stenavich said in June that he believes Braden will “compete for a starting job at guard or tackle”.

That’s high praise and for that reason, Braden will be a player to watch this summer.
