Week 12: vs. Los Angeles Rams
Rams 34, Packers 31
Biggest storyline: How does Matthew Stafford look with a contending team?
Stafford has been an elite QB stuck in a bad organization situation for his entire career. The thought of him in Sean McVay’s offense is a scary one for the NFC.
The Packers’ offense is tried and true against this LA defense with a win over them in the divisional round of the playoffs last season, but slowing down this new Rams offense will be a whole new problem.
I’m not sure what to expect from this game, but unfortunately, I think Green Bay will suffer a loss going into their bye week.
Week 14: vs. Chicago Bears
Bears 21, Packers 38
Biggest storyline: Who is Chicago’s QB?
I’m never super confident coming off a bye week, but the fact that this is a home game eases that a little bit.
The question remains whether the Packers will be defending against Andy Dalton or Justin Fields by this point in the season. One or the other may make this a can’t-lose game as the division comes down to the wire.
The idea of the Packers losing to Chicago in a dire situation is laughable, so I imagine Rodgers will be dropping bombs all over this underwhelming defense this late in the season.
