Packers: Three potential trade destinations for Jordan Love
Pittsburgh Steelers
Ben Roethlisberger is entering his age-39 season with the Pittsburgh Steelers. It could be his final season in Pittsburgh as his contract is up next year.
If Roethlisberger isn’t back in 2022, which direction will the Steelers turn at QB? They do have 2019 first-round pick Dwayne Haskins on the roster, but he was released by the Washington Football Team last year.
It’s somewhat surprising that the Steelers haven’t used an early-round draft choice at quarterback in recent years. They’ve drafted a wide receiver and running back with their top choice the past two years, but who Roethlisberger’s successor will be remains unclear.
Enter Love?
Love is another former first-rounder with the potential to become a superstar. Given all of the great receiving talent the Steelers have, Love would be entering a good situation in Pittsburgh. The Steelers’ offensive line needs some work, but there might not be a better landing spot for Love than the Steelers.
For the Packers, they’d be trading Love out of the NFC so wouldn’t have to worry about playing against him in the playoffs, barring a Super Bowl matchup with Pittsburgh.
The Steelers have a lot of offensive talent beyond 2021, but they might need a new QB in the near future.
