With Green Bay facing another tough schedule, the offense will have their hands full as they will be challenged by several powerhouse defenses.
It will be interesting to see how the Packers’ high-octane offense will respond to the challenge.
Chiefs defense
Everyone is super pumped for the battle against the Chiefs. Though the Chiefs have one of the most efficient offenses in the NFL, that is not the only thing the Packers have to worry about as the Chiefs defense is also solid.
Defensive linemen and linebackers such as Anthony Hitchens, Derrick Nnadi, Chris Jones, and Willie Gay know how to make an impact by plowing their way through the backfield. The secondary will also be a challenge with Tyrann Mathieu and L’Jarius Sneed trying to disrupt the passing game.
The Packers need to be creative with their playbook to be successful against the Chiefs. Plus, Aaron Rodgers needs to get rid of the ball quickly to avoid sacks.
Seahawks defense
In recent years, Seattle has acquired many terrific defensive playmakers. It is always a showdown each time the Packers and Seahawks face off with the Seahawks defense bringing the heat. At times, the Packers’ offense has struggled against the Seahawks’ defense.
It will important for the Packers to have excellent ball security and limit turnovers. Seattle’s secondary will also play an important factor as Tre Flowers and Quandre Diggs will do their best to disrupt the Packers’ offensive flow. The bottom line is the Packers offense needs to be ready to face a hard-hitting Seahawks defense.
Washington defense
Though Washington made it to the playoffs by the skin of their teeth last season, their defense has been very impressive lately. This defense can disrupt offensive flow. Their defensive line is loaded with playmakers including Montez Sweat, James Smith-Williams, Jon Bostic, Jonathan Allen, and Chase Young.
Young had an incredible rookie season as many quarterbacks felt his presence in the backfield. Washington is anticipating another big season from Young.
Green Bay also needs to prepare for Washington’s secondary as Kendall Fuller and Landon Collins love to disrupt the passing game.
Washington’s defense is no joke, and Green Bay should not underestimate their capabilities. Hopefully, the Packers will be explosive on offensive to counter Washington’s sturdy defense.
Rams defense
The Rams are emerging as a top NFL team largely due to their powerhouse defense, which ranked No. 1 in the NFL last season. Though the Packers overcame the Rams defense in the playoffs this past season, the Rams will play with a vengeance in what will be an epic rematch.
Starting from the defensive line, Aaron Donald regularly swarms the backfield. Linebackers Leonard Floyd and newly-added Justin Collins will also get in on the action. The most powerful weapons in the Rams’ arsenal are the secondary players like Jalen Ramsey, Darious Williams, and Jordan Fuller.
Ramsey is one of the best cornerbacks in the NFL today, and the Packers will have their hands full with him. Having Davante Adams definitely helps slow him down as demonstrated in the playoff game. Once again, the Packers need to be creative on offense to shut down the Rams defense. It will be another fun battle to watch.
Browns defense
The transition from the worst NFL team to a top contender has been amazing for the Browns. One of the biggest attributes of their turnaround is acquiring several defensive playmakers to boost production on defense.
This past season, the Browns defense has shut down many offenses, and they will continue to make an impact this upcoming season. Green Bay’s biggest challenge for this game will be the Browns’ explosive defensive front. Playmakers like Myles Garrett and Jadeveon Clowney will bring the pressure. Rodgers needs to get rid of the ball quickly against these tough defenders.
