It’s been an exciting and interesting week in the world of the Green Bay Packers.

From Aaron Rodgers’ decision to play to Randall Cobb’s surprising return via trade, there’s been plenty to discuss as the Packers began training camp and their preparations for the new season.

Now a week into training camp, we have a slightly better idea of the players performing well and making a case for a spot on the initial 53-man roster.

There’s still a lot of time to go between now and Week 1, but with one week of training camp in the books, here’s my latest attempt at predicting the Packers’ 53-man roster.

Aaron Rodgers, Jordan Love

Now that we know Rodgers is back for 2021, I have the Packers sticking with just two quarterbacks on the roster. Their decision to release veteran Blake Bortles last week highlights this.

Unfortunately, that also means fan-favorite Kurt Benkert misses out.

With Rodgers and Jordan Love on the roster, it’s worked out as a best-case scenario for the Packers. The defending MVP is back in town while Love gets another year to learn from an all-time great while developing his own game.

Love is very much the Packers’ future, but for this season he’s promoted to the backup spot which was held by Tim Boyle a year ago.
