On Saturday afternoon, the Green Bay Packers are back at Lambeau Field for their second preseason game of the summer.

Like last week, they will be hosting an AFC opponent. This time, it’s the New York Jets coming to town.

Packers head coach Matt LaFleur will be going head-to-head with good friend and new Jets head coach Robert Saleh, along with Jets offensive coordinator and his brother, Mike LaFleur.

Packers Injury Report vs. Jets for Preseason Week 2

The big question this week is whether second-year quarterback Jordan Love will be active.

The former first-round pick sat out of the second half of last week’s preseason loss to the Houston Texans after suffering a shoulder injury. At the moment, it appears his status for this week’s game against the Jets is up in the air.

Head coach Matt LaFleur said that they will “see how the week goes and how he recovers” but added that Love is “feeling significantly better than he did on game day”.

It’s worth noting that with Aaron Rodgers unlikely to feature in the preseason and Love’s status for Saturday uncertain, Green Bay is bringing back QB Jake Dolegala, according to ESPN’s Rob Demovsky.

Packers vs. Jets Prediction for Preseason Week 2

Preseason games are always incredibly unpredictable. Last week, the Packers were cautious with almost all of their projected starters not playing a snap. A similar story could be true again in Saturday’s contest with the Jets.

Throw in the fact Rodgers is unlikely to feature and Love could miss the game, and the Packers would be down to Kurt Benkert and Dolegala at quarterback. The Jets, on the other hand, could feature second-overall pick Zach Wilson in this game. If you’re betting on the moneyline, going with the Jets might be the best choice.
