Packers 53-man roster predictions after second preseason game
Green Bay Packers 53-man roster predictions following their second preseason game.
Once again, the Green Bay Packers rested the majority of their starters in the preseason, a loss to the New York Jets. The result isn’t important, but the performances of players on the roster bubble will make a difference.
Kurt Benkert played most of the game at quarterback for the Packers with Aaron Rodgers rested and Jordan Love out injured. Has Benkert done enough to secure a spot on the 53-man roster as the third-string QB?
Who will win the sixth wide receiver spot? It’s still a close battle. Which offensive linemen will make the roster, and will the Packers keep five inside linebackers?
There are so many questions still be to answered in the coming weeks. Today, I try to predict how the Packers’ 53-man roster will look at the start of September.

Mason Crosby, JK Scott, Hunter Bradley
There is no longer any competition on the roster for punter JK Scott or long snapper Hunter Bradley, but that doesn’t necessarily mean that won’t change.
Neither player has been particularly convincing this summer and the Packers could still decide to bring in another player at either position.
For now, though, with Scott the only punter and Bradley the only long snapper on the roster, they are my picks.
