Packers: Jordan Love does best Aaron Rodgers impression vs. Bills
Jordan Love did his best Aaron Rodgers impression on a stunning throw to Malik Taylor in the Packers’ final preseason game.
We’ve seen the good and the bad from Jordan Love in the opening two quarters of the Green Bay Packers‘ preseason finale against the Buffalo Bills. That’s to be expected of a young quarterback.
He made some impressive plays in the first half, including a beautiful strike to Malik Taylor on the final possession of the half.
Love did a great Rodgers impression, first drawing the Bills offsides, before hitting a perfect pass to Taylor, who made an incredible catch on the sideline. It was a 27-yard gain on second-and-14 that led to a solid two-minute drive for the Packers.

The 2020 first-round pick drew the Bills offsides twice on the final possession of the half. Think he’s learned a thing or two from the master of the free play?
Love finished the half with 10 completions from his 16 passes, for 132 yards, no touchdowns, and one interception. Outside of a couple of plays, Love looked comfortable against a Bills defense including many of their starters.
Plays like the one above show off Love’s incredible natural ability. Where he needs to improve is some of the decision-making. His interception was avoidable and the right call would’ve been to throw the ball out of bounds as he was out of the pocket. Love was lucky not to throw another pick later in the half.
Despite that, we saw far more good than bad from Love in the first half. More often than not, he made the right decisions and had some impressive plays.
This live game action is so important for Love and a great learning opportunity. As he’s shown in the first half, he’s already learned a lot from Rodgers. And he made a Rodgers-level play on his pass to Taylor.
