Packers Game Sunday: Packers vs. Saints odds and prediction for NFL Week 1 game
The Packers begin their 2021 season on the road in Week 1 as they take on the Saints.
The Green Bay Packers, led by MVP quarterback Aaron Rodgers, wide receiver Davante Adams, and cornerback Jaire Alexander, hit the road for their season opener to take on the New Orleans Saints.
The Saints enter a new era following Drew Brees’ retirement. Jameis Winston takes over as the QB1 in New Orleans.
Due to Hurricane Ida, the game has been moved to TIAA Bank Field in a 3:25 p.m. CT kickoff on Sunday, Sept. 12.
Packers vs. Saints Odds Week 1
According to WynnBET, the Packers open as 4.5-point favorites over the Saints, with an over/under of 50.0 points. The Packers are -215 on the money line, the Saints +170. This isn’t surprising given the talent the Saints have lost, the fact they will be without star wide receiver Michael Thomas, and that the game will be played at a neutral venue.
Packers vs. Saints Prediction Week 1
Green Bay enters this game as one of the NFC favorites, and for good reason. The team is loaded with talent at key positions. On offense, Rodgers returns with his top target Adams, along with Pro Bowl running back Aaron Jones and an excellent offensive line, even without David Bakhtiari.
New Orleans enters the season with a number of questions. Can Winston lead the offense to consistent success? Do the Saints have enough depth at wide receiver while Thomas is out?
Green Bay has the stronger team, and this game will also be played at a neutral venue in Jacksonville. Expect to see plenty of Packers fans in attendance as is often the case when they visit Jacksonville.
The Saints still have a lot of talent on both sides of the ball, but Matt LaFleur’s team come away with an important season-opening victory.
