How many games will the Packers win in 2021?

Week 1 of the regular season is here. Sunday afternoon, the Green Bay Packers are on the road against the New Orleans Saints. Two playoff teams from a year ago.

It’s the first of many matchups against 2020 playoff opponents. Ten of the Packers’ regular-season games will be against teams who made the playoffs last year. That’s over half of their schedule.

With such a challenging schedule ahead, can Matt LaFleur’s team replicate last season’s success and win enough games for the NFC’s number one seed?

Week 1: at New Orleans Saints

Date: Sunday, Sept. 12

Time: 3:25 p.m. CT

TV: FOX

A tough season opener for Green Bay, but this game doesn’t look as tough on paper as it did a year ago.

For starters, Drew Brees is gone after retiring this past offseason. The Saints also lack receiving depth after losing Emmanuel Sanders and Jared Cook. Like last year, Michael Thomas is out due to injury.

Cornerback depth could also be an issue for New Orleans up against Aaron Rodgers and a high-powered Green Bay offense.

The Saints are still a talented team, no doubt, but it’s the Packers who make an impressive start with an important road victory in Week 1.
