Four players to watch for the Packers versus the Saints.

A tough start to the regular season awaits for the Green Bay Packers. They will take on the New Orleans Saints in a battle of two playoff contenders.

Beginning on the road is never easy, although in a neutral venue, and the new-look Saints will be a tough opponent.

Today, we’ll look at four key players to watch for the Packers. If these players put in good performances, the Packers will be well set to win the game.

Kevin King

Kevin King’s last performance — the NFC title game in January — was possibly the worst of his career. It led many to believe he wouldn’t be back in Green Bay this season as his contract expired, but here we are.

It would be unfair to judge King on one bad performance, no matter how big the stage. He has been a reliable starter in Green Bay, and he is listed as a starter ahead of first-round pick Eric Stokes on the team’s latest unofficial depth chart.

The Saints don’t have the same offensive firepower as the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, but all eyes will be on King following his poor performance last January. And with Stokes competing for a starting spot, King knows he needs to kick off the new season well.
