Three bold predictions for Packers vs. Lions in Week 2.

It’s time to turn the page. The Green Bay Packers‘ season opener couldn’t have gone any worse. The team didn’t look prepared or ready to play, and up against a talented New Orleans Saints team, they got exactly what they deserved.

Their Week 2 opponents, the Detroit Lions, also lost their season opener. At one stage, the Lions looked on course for a blowout defeat, but Dan Campbell’s team showed great fight to pull within a touchdown. They weren’t far off tying the contest and sending it to overtime.

Based on talent alone, the Packers have the better roster in most areas. However, they will need to play much better this week if they want to get victory number one in 2021. If last week is anything to go by, the Lions won’t give up even if down by multiple scores.

It’s a matchup between one team likely to be in contention for a championship this year, and another at the start of a slow rebuild. But nothing is guaranteed in the NFL and the Packers will need to put in a strong performance. If they do, they should win.
