The Packers aim to bounce back in Week 2 against the Lions.

OK, let’s move on.

Sunday’s season opener was a disaster for the Green Bay Packers and one we certainly didn’t see coming.

The good news is they couldn’t ask for a better opportunity to bounce back than on Monday Night Football at home against a rebuilding Detroit Lions team.

The Packers host the Lions in their home opener at Lambeau Field on Monday, Sept. 20 at 7:15 p.m. CT.

Packers vs. Lions Odds Week 2

According to WynnBET, the Packers are 10.5-point favorites at home against the Lions with an over/under of 48.0 points. Green Bay is -520 on the money line, Detroit +380. Following last week’s humiliating defeat, WynnBET is expected a big response from Matt LaFleur’s team in their home opener.

Packers vs. Lions Prediction Week 2

It’s hard to argue with that. For all of the problems we saw in last week’s performance, Green Bay’s roster is one of the most talented in the NFL. They haven’t suddenly become a bad football team.

The Lions almost pulled off a shock comeback against the San Francisco 49ers, but this is a defense that allowed 41 points and was outclassed for most of the game.

Dan Campbell clearly has his team fighting until the very end, but Green Bay is the more talented team. Under Matt LaFleur, the Packers haven’t lost consecutive games and I don’t see that changing here.

Last week’s defeat to the Saints was a serious wake-up call. If there was any lack of focus in that game, there’s no chance that carries over into Week 2.

My prediction is that Aaron Rodgers returns to his MVP form and throws for fun against a struggling Lions defense, leading his team to their first victory of the season.

Green Bay bounces back in a big way at Lambeau Field.

Prediction: Packers 38-14
