Aaron Rodgers hit a new career milestone, and he did it in style.

Green Bay Packers MVP quarterback Aaron Rodgers has hit a number of incredible career milestones over the years.

In Week 2 against the Detroit Lions, he achieved another one.

Rodgers has now overtaken John Elway for 10th-most career passing yards in NFL history.

And Rodgers did it in perfect style, hitting his favorite target Davante Adams for a 50-yard gain. Just when the Packers needed it.

It came immediately following a sack that left the Packers facing a third-and-12. Down by three points early in the third quarter, the Packers needed some Aaron Rodgers magic to move the chains and get the offense back on track.

Rodgers found his number one target and Adams did the rest.

It meant the Packers avoided punting, and just moments later, Rodgers hit Robert Tonyan for a touchdown, Rodgers’ third TD pass of the day.

It gave the Packers their first lead of the evening. Now Green Bay needs its defense to help out after giving Jared Goff far too much time in the pocket, and the Lions’ QB has been more than happy to make the defense pay.

Without much of a pass rush, the Packers are going to need more magic from Rodgers and the offense to win this game.

Seen as a bounce-back game for the Packers, the Lions are trying to ensure it’s anything but. They came to play and, unless the defense improves, this game could come down to the team that has the ball last.

The good news is the play of the offense, led by all-world Rodgers. The MVP is back to his best, and he hit another career milestone in the most Aaron Rodgers way possible, with a beautiful 50-yard strike to Davante Adams.
