The Packers will be taking on the Steelers this Sunday, and it is a winnable game.

The Green Bay Packers have a showdown with the Pittsburgh Steelers this Sunday afternoon. Interestingly enough, this will be the first time that Aaron Rodgers has played the Steelers since the 2010 Super Bowl. The two teams faced off in 2013 and 2017 but Rodgers missed both of those due to collarbone injuries.

The Steelers may not be as good as they’ve been in the past, even as recent as 2020, but this game will be no cakewalk for the Packers. Mike Tomlin is a great head coach who will always get the best out of his guys.

Another strong point of this Steelers team is the defensive unit, although they have their issues as well. So what I wanted to look at in this article are three areas where the Packers have a great shot to thrive come Sunday.

No. 1: Rush defense

Now, hear me out… we all know that the Packers don’t have a great rush defense whatsoever but they are improving in this area. Against the San Francisco 49ers, they gave up just over three yards per carry which is great for a Packers defense that has struggled in this area for years.

That was against a 49ers team who has a fantastic offensive line and is led by Kyle Shanahan, who has proven to be the Packers’ kryptonite in the past. Moving to this week, the Steelers’ offensive line has been brutal this season.

Guys like Kenny Clark and Preston Smith have been strong in the run game and may be able to shut down Najee Harris and this Steelers rushing attack.
