Packers Game Sunday: Packers vs. Bengals odds and prediction for NFL Week 5 game
The Packers are back on the road in Week 5.
With three victories in a row, the Green Bay Packers are flying high entering a Week 5 road game against the Cincinnati Bengals.
It’s been four years since the two teams last met, when Green Bay defeated Cincinnati in overtime back in 2017.
The Bengals have made a fast start to the season, winning three of their first four, including against the Minnesota Vikings in Week 1.
Packers vs. Bengals Odds Week 5
According to WynnBET, the Packers are 3.5-point favorites against the Bengals with an over/under of 49.0 points. Green Bay is -170 on the money line, Cincinnati +150. Both teams are on a roll, but WynnBET is expecting the Packers to come out on top.
It’s on the road, and Green Bay could be without top cornerback Jaire Alexander. It won’t be an easy game for Matt LaFleur’s team.
Packers vs. Bengals Prediction Week 5
A potential slip-up game for Green Bay. Without Za’Darius Smith and with Jaire Alexander’s status up in the air, the Bengals could get rolling on offense. That said, the Bengals are averaging 23 points per game and have allowed 11 sacks, hardly scary numbers.
If Alexander is out, Aaron Rodgers and the offense will need to lead the way. Over the past three weeks, they’ve found plenty of success, averaging just over 30 points per game.
Another 30-point performance could be enough to see the Packers return to Green Bay with a fourth straight victory.
Against an injury-hit defense, I predict Joe Burrow and the Bengals will have some success on offense. However, in the end, Rodgers is simply too good, the offense gets going early and they come away with the victory on the road. It won’t be an easy game, but Green Bay gets the job done against Cincinnati and heads into a Week 6 showdown at Chicago with four consecutive wins.
Prediction: Packers 30-24
