. New Orleans Saints. 8. team. 15. . 3-2

The Saints are proving to be an inconsistent team. They looked incredible in an opening-day crushing of the Packers but not so much since in defeats to the Panthers and Giants. Still, they’ve won three games entering their early bye week. A big game against the NFC South-leading Tampa Bay Buccaneers awaits in a few weeks.

. Carolina Panthers. 7. team. 87. . 3-2

The Panthers were one of the surprise undefeated teams in the NFL after three weeks but are now coming off consecutive defeats. Getting back on track will be important this week against the Vikings in a must-win game for both teams.

6. team. 42. . 2-3. . San Francisco 49ers

San Francisco’s quick start to the season has quickly disappeared with the team losing three in a row. A turnover differential of minus-5 sure isn’t helping, with the Niners having already turned it over seven times this season. The bye comes at a good time for Kyle Shanahan’s team, but the head coach faces a tough decision at quarterback in the coming weeks.

team. 123. . 4-1. . Dallas Cowboys. 5

Well hello, Mike McCarthy. The former Packers head coach has his Cowboys team cruising in the NFC East and leading one of the NFL’s top offenses. They rank second in the NFL for yards per game (439.6) and second in points per game (34.0).
