2. Inside linebacker

Currently, the Packers have one of the best inside linebackers in football. De’Vondre Campbell is proving to be one of the pickups of the year and has put his name very much into All-Pro and Pro Bowl consideration. Campbell is having an excellent season and showing the Packers the importance of valuing the inside linebacker position.

However, re-signing Campbell beyond this season could be an issue for Green Bay. Considering the season he’s having, Campbell is going to land a huge new contract in the offseason. The Packers don’t have the cap room to be making big free-agent signings, so there’s a real possibility he could be playing elsewhere in 2022.

Krys Barnes’ contract is also set to expire, although he’s an exclusive-rights free agent so the Packers should be able to bring him back.

If Campbell does indeed sign elsewhere in the spring, replacing him won’t be easy. Maybe his dominant play in the middle of the field will show the Packers why they should be willing to invest in the position earlier in the draft.

Regardless of which round they select an inside linebacker, if Campbell is gone, it should be high on the to-do list entering the draft in April.
