Early predictions for the Packers’ 2022 unrestricted free agents.

With the Green Bay Packers on bye week, now is a good time to take an early look ahead to the offseason.

Like last spring, the Packers will have some difficult decisions to make with their salary cap and also in free agency.

Let’s take a look at the Packers’ unrestricted free agents for 2022. I predict who will be re-signed and who will be playing for a new team next season.

Chandon Sullivan: Walks

Chandon Sullivan is the starter in the slot for Joe Barry on defense, but he’s had an up-and-down season so far. If the Packers re-sign Rasul Douglas in the offseason, it’s possible starting with Douglas and Eric Stokes on the outside and Jaire Alexander in the ‘star’ position would be the best way to go in 2022.

The Packers also drafted Shemar Jean-Charles this past offseason. He could be a candidate to play in the slot in the future.

Robert Tonyan: Re-signed

While it’s possible Robert Tonyan could land a big deal elsewhere, it’s unclear how his recovery from injury will impact that. If Tonyan remains unsigned into the summer, it’s possible he returns to Green Bay on a short-term deal.

Kevin King: Walks

The Packers re-signed Kevin King last offseason, and while he’s had some good games this year, he’s also struggled to stay healthy. With Eric Stokes’ development, I predict Green Bay will move on from its former second-round pick in the offseason.
