An offseason of change could lie ahead for the Green Bay Packers.

Aaron Rodgers’ future will remain a ‘beautiful mystery’ in the coming months. Is this his final run in Green Bay, or is there still hope that the three-time MVP will remain with the Packers and finish his career with the team that drafted him?

Even if Rodgers remains in Green Bay, the team’s salary-cap situation means some significant changes could be on the way. Key players like Davante Adams, De’Vondre Campbell, and Marquez Valdes-Scantling have expiring contracts, while the Packers may need to do something about some of their biggest cap hits such as Za’Darius Smith’s.

As ever, the draft will be an important time to build for the future, whether that’s by addressing positions of need or simply strengthening wherever possible.

GM Brian Gutekunst has a good recent track record. Many of the Packers’ biggest contributors this season were drafted within the past few years such as Rashan Gary, AJ Dillon, Elgton Jenkins, and Eric Stokes.

Gutekunst will look to put together a strong draft class in 2022, although once again he’ll have to work with a pick down the order.
