Corey Bojorquez

It took the Packers long enough to find a punter. They can’t lose him now.

The Packers traded for Corey Bojorquez before the start of the season, and he’s been every bit as good as advertised.

His punting average of 47.8 yards ties for eighth in the NFL. His 82-yard punt leads the NFL for the longest of the season. When Green Bay faces difficult field position, Bojorquez can be trusted to pin the opponent back in their own territory.

Not only has he shown he can boot a punt to another planet, but he’s also incredibly consistent. We don’t see many mistakes from the former Los Angeles Ram.

Special teams has been nothing short of a disaster for the Packers in 2022, but Bojorquez is one of the few exceptions. Punting is no longer an issue for Green Bay, and that’s largely down to the arrival of Bojorquez.

JK Scott had his memorable moments, there’s no doubt, but he was also too inconsistent. In Bojorquez, the Packers have a punter they can trust to flip field position in big games. It can’t be underestimated how important a role he could play in the postseason.

The Packers need to ensure Bojorquez is still their punter in 2022.
