Warning to opposing quarterbacks: Don’t throw in the direction of Green Bay Packers cornerback Rasul Douglas.
It’s still hard to believe Douglas was on the Arizona Cardinals’ practice squad in October having not played a single game for them in 2021. The Packers made one of their best decisions of the season to bring him in.
First, Douglas made a game-winning pick against the Cardinals. Then he made a crucial pick-six against the Los Angeles Rams.
Tonight, with the Packers trailing the Chicago Bears in the second quarter, Douglas did it again, intercepting Justin Fields and taking it to the house.

It’s a game-changing play and one the Packers needed.
Green Bay made a slow start on both sides of the ball, falling to a 10-0 deficit. Aaron Rodgers cut the Bears’ lead to just three points after finding Allen Lazard for a touchdown, then Douglas’ pick-six put the Packers in front.
Green Bay’s lead didn’t last too long. Chicago needed just three plays for Fields to hit Damiere Byrd for a 54-yard touchdown. Fields quickly made up for his error on the previous possession.
But that takes nothing away from the play Douglas made. He’s been a phenomenal in-season addition for Joe Barry’s defense. He makes big plays almost every week. Not only is he going to land a starting job for the remainder of the season, but he’s also going to earn himself a long-term deal somewhere in the offseason. Hopefully it’ll be in Green Bay.
This game is very much on at Lambeau Field as the Packers have given up two big touchdowns. However, Douglas came up with one of the plays of the game. Justin Fields may decide not to throw in his direction too often moving forward.
An up-and-down start for the defense, but Douglas has been outstanding.
