Packers injury report Week 15: Aaron Jones misses practice Thursday
Packers running back Aaron Jones missed practice on Thursday.
Green Bay Packers running back Aaron Jones was limited at practice on Wednesday but didn’t practice on Thursday due to a knee injury and illness.
ESPN’s Rob Demovsky noted that Jones’ illness isn’t COVID-19 as he hasn’t been moved to the reserve/COVID-19 list. What this means for his status for this week’s game against the Baltimore Ravens remains to be seen.
It was surprising Jones only had five carries last week against the Chicago Bears, but a knee injury could be the explanation.
There weren’t too many other changes on the injury report from yesterday.
Left tackle David Bakhtiari continues to make progress. He was again limited on Thursday, but Wes Hodkiewicz of Packers.com reported he was in pads at practice.
In total, six players didn’t practice for Green Bay on Thursday: Jones (knee/illness), QB Aaron Rodgers (toe), TE Dominique Dafney (ankle), WR Equanimeous St. Brown (concussion), T Billy Turner (knee), and TE Marcedes Lewis (rest).
Bakhtiari (knee), WR Malik Taylor (abdomen), and WR Marquez Valdes-Scantling (back) were all limited again on Thursday.
The Ravens’ injury report is a long one. Wide receiver Marquise Brown was added to the injury report on Thursday due to illness.
Seven Ravens players didn’t practice, and that includes star quarterback Lamar Jackson, who is dealing with an ankle injury. We still don’t know his status for Sunday’s game but should get a better idea on Friday. It won’t be a surprise if he’s listed as questionable on the injury report tomorrow.
