Power ranking the Packers’ four potential divisional round opponents.

The playoff schedule is set. The Green Bay Packers officially enter their first-round bye week and they will await the lowest remaining seed in the divisional round.

Of the six NFC teams playing this weekend, the Packers won’t meet either the Tampa Bay Buccaneers or Dallas Cowboys in the next round. Green Bay will either host the NFC West-winning Los Angeles Rams, or wild-cards the Arizona Cardinals, San Francisco 49ers, or Philadelphia Eagles.

Which would prove to be the toughest test for Matt LaFleur’s team? Let’s rank the Packers’ potential divisional round opponents, starting with the ‘easiest’.

4. Philadelphia Eagles

There are plenty of reasons not to like a potential matchup with the Philadelphia Eagles.

Forget about their 51-26 loss to the Cowboys on Sunday — the majority of their starters were rested with a playoff berth already clinched. Prior to that game, Philadelphia had won six of its previous seven games.

The Eagles have the NFL’s top-ranked rushing offense and a top-10 defense. However, if the Packers were to make a fast start, the Eagles would need to lean on their 25th-ranked passing offense, and that could be a problem for them.

Also, all but one of the Eagles’ victories this season came against teams with losing records. They went 0-6 against playoff teams, being outscored 132-212 in those games.

Still, if the Eagles go on the road and eliminate the defending-champion Buccaneers, Packers fans will be a little concerned ahead of the divisional round.
