2. San Francisco 49ers

Don’t count out the San Francisco 49ers, who went 7-2 in their final nine games. Their come-from-behind win on the road against the Los Angeles Rams this past week was particularly impressive, and a statement to the rest of the NFC playoff teams.

The 49ers have given the Packers some playoff nightmares over the years. We don’t want another one added to the list at Lambeau Field in two weeks.

San Francisco’s offense ranks seventh in the NFL, led by the seventh-ranked rushing offense. They also have the third-ranked defense in the league, which will be key in the postseason. The Packers’ offensive line would face a tough task in this one as the 49ers’ defense put up 48 sacks in the regular season, tied for fifth-most.

But the 49ers are far from perfect. One area they have struggled is with turnovers. San Francisco is -4 in turnover differential and has turned it over 24 times, tied for 11th-most.

Still, behind a powerful rushing attack and a strong defense, the 49ers can give any team problems in the playoffs. We’ve seen the Packers struggle in similar situations in recent years. Eliminating Kyle Shanahan’s 49ers would be no easy task for the Packers, even at Lambeau Field.
