This past season for the Green Bay Packers was quite the success in a lot of different ways. They found ways to win games and still show the rest of the NFL that they are one of the top teams in the league.

However, there is always room for improvement and one area that Green Bay will be looking at without question is the wide receiver. There are a few things the team needs to do at this position group.

One of the biggest needs is retaining their top WRs.

Davante Adams and Randall Cobb need to be a priority this off-season. Adams has proven over time that he can consistently be the go-to WR. Retaining him needs to be a top priority. Cobb continues to show his capability of being a top target and that he is reliable.

The big overarching questions will be the remaining WR group beneath these two. There will probably be some of them that get let go. Building a supporting cast around Adams and Cobb will be helpful to help take some of the pressure off them and will cause defensive coordinators more problems. If it comes from the draft or free agency they need to give their top targets more help.

Building up this position group will continue to help the Packers organization to be able to get back to the Super Bowl. Overall, I see great improvement within the Packers organization this next year.

The important thing for the wide receivers group is to retain Adams and Cobb and build a better supporting cast around those two, to help take the pressure off of them. Green Bay continues to show it is a force to be reckoned with and that their wide receiver group will continue to be one of the league’s best.
