Four players the Packers could trade away in 2022.

Will the Green Bay Packers go all-in or rebuild in 2022? It seems both options are on the table without much in between. Either Aaron Rodgers is back and the team makes moves to go for another championship next season, or Rodgers is gone and the attention shifts to the long-term future.

With that in mind, the direction the Packers go in could determine which players they re-sign, who they let go, who they bring in, and also who they trade.

Today, we’ll look at four players the Packers could trade away this offseason.

Jordan Love

Of course, this scenario assumes Rodgers returns in 2022. For this to happen, the Packers would need to be willing to go all-in and focus on the short term.

It would leave third-year quarterback Jordan Love in a tough spot. He only has one NFL start to his name. If Rodgers is back, Love’s playing time would be limited once again next year. Following the 2022 season, the team would have to make a decision on Love’s fifth-year option. Not easy to do without much time for Love to actually play.

If the attention is on the short term and building another championship team around Rodgers, it will likely require a new deal for the MVP. So unless Rodgers retires after 2022, he’d remain under contract for many more years.

Maybe then, the Packers would decide to trade Love for picks.
