With the 2021 season now in the books, the attention shifts to the new year. What are the Green Bay Packers‘ Super Bowl odds for next season?

The day after the Super Bowl, WynnBET’s odds have the Packers with +2000 odds for next year’s big game. They have the same odds as the Baltimore Ravens, Indianapolis Colts, and Los Angeles Chargers.

They are some way off the favorites. The Kansas City Chiefs and Buffalo Bills are tied as favorites with +700 odds. Then come this season’s Super Bowl participants, the champion-Los Angeles Rams and Cincinnati Bengals, both with +1200 odds. The San Francisco 49ers are also at +1200.

An interesting note is that the Denver Broncos have better odds than the Packers with +1500. Denver certainly has a talented roster across the board, just not at quarterback. Could Aaron Rodgers make the Broncos serious contenders if he is traded there?

Predicting how competitive the Packers will be in 2022 is near impossible until we know what’s next for Rodgers. If he’s back, we can expect a new deal to create cap room, and the team will likely then try to retain as many key players as possible such as Davante Adams.

However, if Rodgers is gone, who knows whether Adams will return. Or De’Vondre Campbell or Rasul Douglas or Marquez Valdes-Scantling.

There are so many different scenarios that could play out here. Until we know whether Rodgers is returning, it’s hard to say whether the Packers will be anywhere close to competing in the NFC. If Rodgers and Adams return, we can expect Green Bay’s Super Bowl odds to improve. If it’s the opposite, the team might not even be competitive in the conference.

An interesting few weeks are ahead for the Packers. We’ll learn a lot about the path this team is on before free agency begins in four weeks.
