Three reasons why Aaron Rodgers should return to the Packers in 2022.

We can discuss all day long whether the Green Bay Packers should want Aaron Rodgers back or trade him for a boatload of picks. However, at least publicly, the Packers have made their stance crystal clear. They want Rodgers back.

So that puts the decision on Rodgers.

As he reflects on the 2021 season and looks ahead to what’s next, the best scenario for him to win a championship next year is to remain in Green Bay.

Rodgers hasn’t ruled out any possibility. One could be returning. Another would be to request a trade, although he’s never actually said he would do that. The other is walking away and retiring. For a player coming off back-to-back MVP seasons, it would be a real shame for him to step away on top of his game.

It’s understandable why Rodgers wants to think his options through. Can the Packers remain competitive next year? Would he better off attempting to do what Peyton Manning, Tom Brady, and now Matthew Stafford have achieved by winning elsewhere? Rodgers also needs to know he’s ready to commit 100 percent for another season.

If he does want to play football in 2022, he should remain in Green Bay. Here are three reasons why.
